Actor George Clooney would have started the year 2012 in sobriety, as he has decided to stop drinking for a temporary period, reports Starpulse.

George Clooney insists he did not intend to give up alcohol for good, but he believes it might be a good decision for his health to stay sober for several months.

Admitting that he did not have his lucky bottle of alcohol with him during the Golden Globes gala last Sunday in Los Angeles, Clooney, who still won the best actor revealed: 

“I took a small New Year’s resolution that I would stop drinking for a while … I give my liver a chance to recover a little. “
